Cavoodles are a
"designer dog"breed, created by crossing a Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel with a Poodle. The Poodle is usually a toy Poodle,
although I have heard of miniatures being used. Of course,
the
size of the Poodle has a major effect on the size of the Cavoodle.
The reason for the particular mix is to get the stable nature
of
the Spaniel and the intelligence and fur of the poodle.
I breed these wonderful dogs for your and my pleasure. I have five Cavoodles of my own. I originally bought one because I wanted a smaller dog that didn't moult, was placid and that was easy to train. I was so happy with her that I bought another, then another, then.........
The first of the dogs did, in fact, moult a little. All of my other dogs don't moult, and most of the puppies so far haven't moulted much, if at all (which is probably the reason that you're interested in learning about Cavoodles, too). All of my dogs are second generation Cavoodles (that is, either one or both of the parents have been Cavoodles). Being a breeder, I often have puppies for sale.
I'm based in Mount Colah, to the North of Sydney. The puppies are hand reared, raised in a home environment with frequent contact with our family. I prefer to meet anyone who is thinking of buying a puppy so that we can talk about what is needed in order to care for your new pet.
